Tareq Amin is technologist, business leader and entrepreneur with nearly two decades of experience in technology and telecom innovation. In October 2023, Amin has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Aramco Digital to drive the new Aramco subsidiary toward achieving its strategic objectives and accelerating digital transformation within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Amin is determined to lead Aramco Digital in delivering industrial cutting-edge digital solutions leveraging the power of modern cloud, AI, industrial connectivity and sustainability platforms. Prior to joining Aramco Digital, Amin had extensive experience with startups working under the Japanese Rakuten Group when he launched Rakuten Symphony back in August 2021 with vision to converge IT and telecom networks. As the CEO of symphony, he led Symphony to penetrate the mobile market and introduce a modern industrial scale automation platform for telecom. In 2022, Amin was appointed as CEO of Rakuten Mobile to support the growth in Japan and synergize with the global business of the company. Before 2018, Amin has served Reliance Jio as Senior VP of Technology Development and Automation where he effectively contributed to the transformation of the mobile industry in India. Over the previous year, Amin also served in telecom business as VP of Huawei’s Carrier Solutions and As Senior Director of National Planning & Performance at T-Mobile. Amin holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Physics from Portland State University at Oregon.
