More than 25 years exposure to some of the world’s fastest moving and digitally advanced technologies has left Fabio Fontana uniquely placed as CEO ZeroPoint DC and Chief Growth Officer of Tonomus. Fontana’s work is fundamental to the successful delivery of NEOM’s next generation Hyperscale Hybrid Data Center, which uses 100% renewable energy and water-cooling technology. Fontana and his team are also embarking on full-scale technology ventures at NEOM, harnessing the power of the ‘Connect, Compute, Platform and Innovation’ to deliver end-to- end solutions where humans and machines harmonize, inspired by nature and sustainability. Prior to joining NEOM, Fontana worked in in a variety of senior executive and managerial positions, including at Hewlett-Packard (HP) and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE). Most recently as Managing Director for HPE in the Middle East and Africa, Fontana was responsible for market growth across the entire HPE portfolio of products, solutions and services. In addition, he has worked globally for a range of different HP business segments, with international postings in Hong Kong, Rome and San Francisco amongst others. Fontana was also a founding member of the U.S. - U.A.E. Business Council. With a postgraduate in computer sciences and artificial intelligence from Italy’s University of Pisa, Fontana studied business management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Sloan School of Management and Stanford University. In 1999, he won a patent for developing the ‘Real Time Banking System,’ a joint project between HP, Verifone and Huntington Bank.
