Michael started at Neom in April 2021 as Head of Cloud for AI & Platforms before being promoted to VP, Cognitive Products at Tonomus. As VP, Michael Xie is responsible for overseeing the development and management of products and solutions ensuring to map customer needs to emerging cognitive capabilities for now and the future of smart cities. Prior to joining TONOMUS, Michael worked at Guardtime over the course of 6 years, holding various roles with the most recent being the CTO, Guardtime Supply Chain. Before Guardtime, Michael worked for DirectTV and led their technology effort to transform from satellite TV provider to a streaming TV provider, founded his own online Ecommerce platform business, and worked at Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems and Draper Lab as a Senior Software Engineer working for the likes of the DoD and Navy as a defense contractor. Michael started his career co-founding a startup that created the first online used car auction platform. Michael has an MSc in Computer Science from UCLA.
