The Investors Club is an exclusive initiative to unite global VCs with notable KSA technology investors and sovereign wealth funds. It is a platform to connect investors from all continents with emerging technology start-ups from around the world.

LEAP will provide members of the Investors Club with a 3-day dedicated itinerary, including match-making, networking, and unmissable talks and sessions at the event. The event will act as a platform to connect sovereign wealth funds and investors in the Middle East with investment opportunities that are outside the Kingdom.

The Investors Club will provide senior representative-led updates on mega projects and giga projects which can only be discovered at LEAP; such as NEOM, The Red Sea Development, Qiddiya and beyond. This is a year-round initiative that stretches far beyond LEAP itself, including VC-to-VC workshops and meet-ups throughout the year.

Meet the investors

Daniel Keiper-Knorr
Managing Partner, Speedinvest

His portfolio flagship investments include Tier, curve, goStudent, coachhub and primer.


As a founding partner at Speedinvest, Daniel covers limited partner relations and fundraising both on the fund and portfolio levels. Daniel started his professional career as a stockbroker and private banker with ErsteBank in Vienna and Credit Suisse in Zurich. In 2000, he teamed up with Oliver Holle and Werner Zahnt in their Fintech startup, offering mobile payments to the media, entertainment and information industries. In 2006, they sold their start-up to NASDAQ listed VeriSign in a €55 million exit.

Koby Yogaretnam
Founding Partner, Discentia Capital

A founding Partner at Discentia Capital with vast experience in multiple start-up ecosystems.

Koby is a consultant turned entrepreneur from the UK whose successes include bringing one of India’s most prestigious fashion brands, Pothys, to North America and Europe with highly attended events. He is founder of numerous businesses and co-founded the organisation, British Tamil Entrepreneurs. Koby is also an advocate for female empowerment and founded the #WhatsHerStory brand.

Hussein Kanji
Partner, Hoxton Ventures

While forming Hoxton, he helped Eros STX Global develop ErosNow, an online streaming video platform for Bollywood.


Hussein is a partner at Hoxton Ventures. He currently represents Hoxton on the boards of baseimmune, Biotx, Finesse, Fy!, Giraffe360, Kbox, Luminary, Peptone, Raptor Supplies, Raw Material, Skin Analytics, SOC.OS, TourRadar, XYZ Reality and Yieldify, and serves as a board observer on Behavox, Karakuri, Loveshark, Panakeia and Vidya Health. Hussein also serves on the board of Tech Nation. He also sits on the advisory board of GTO Partners, a tech mid-market buyout firm, and Landscape, a venture capital review site.

Philip Habib
Partner, SR ONE

He has more than 12 years of experience in venture capital, private equity and real estate.


Philip began his career in the Private Equity & Venture Capital group at Cambridge Associates, the leading Boston-based investment advisory firm, where he advised institutional investors on their portfolio strategy and investments. Philip subsequently joined General Electric in the Business Development (M&A) and the Sponsor Leveraged Finance groups, where he focused on multiple sectors including healthcare. Prior to Joining SR One, Philip was involved in several entrepreneurial ventures.  

Olav Ostin
Managing Partner, TempoCap

Olav has been active in the venture capital industry for the past 20 years.

In 2006, Olav co-founded TempoCap which was part of the Draper Venture Network from 2012 to 2016. Since its formation, TempoCap has acquired 11 portfolios of assets and closed multiple single assets transactions. Between 2000 and 2004, Olav was a Managing Director of venture capital firm ETF Group and previously spent 6 years in investment banking at Enskilda Securities. Olav was educated at EM Lyon, France.

Bina Khan
Strategic Advisor & Investor, Summit Venture Partners

Bina is entrepreneur and start-up angel investor with experience in Europe, the Middle East, Silicon Valley and New York City.

She is the Founder of SUMMIT – a boutique accounting and tax advisory firm that works primarily with technology start-ups and high net-worth individuals. She also manages an investment fund that focuses on disruptive technology start-ups run by notable teams. She is a widely respected tax expert in matters related to venture capital and corporate transactions in the transatlantic space, including venture financing, acquihire and M&A. She has deep expertise in start-ups and the venture capital sector, with an emphasis on working with cross-border founders and entrepreneurs establishing their ventures in the USA and American investors investing in non-US based companies. 

Dana Khater
Principal, Creator Fund

Dana is Principal at Creator Fund, and leads teams across Cambridge, London and the North of England.

Dana was most recently an investor at firstminute capital ($200 million fund based in London) where she focused on pre-seed and seed deals in the UK & the U.S. Prior to that, Dana was a student founder and built her business Coterique when she was 19 and still an undergraduate student. Coterique is a drop shipping platform that allows customers to discover and shop emerging fashion brands. It currently has a global clientele base across 30 countries and has processed over $1 million in sales.

Dana has a BA in Economics with a minor in Electrical Engineering from The American University in Cairo.

Brian DeFee
Director - Corporate Development EMEA, Top Tier Capital Partners

Brian leads TTCP's global distribution team and is responsible for fundraising for Top Tier's offerings.


Prior to joining Top Tier, Brian was a Managing Director with Capstone Partners covering limited partners on the US east coast and was global lead for the firm's real asset / natural resources advisory practice. Before that, he held several marketing/IR roles with Panda Power Funds, Commerce Street Capital and Capital Dynamics. Brian worked with the Top Tier team from 2006 to 2008, prior to its spin out from Paul Capital, and started his career with J.P. Morgan's Equity Capital Markets group in San Francisco. Brian holds a B.S. in business administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

He also earned an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management with an emphasis on International Finance, where he graduated with honours.

Farhan Lalji
Principal, Anthemis Capital

Farhan leads the BBVA & Anthemis Venture Creation Partnership at Anthemis.

Farhan works with companies that are focused on evolving the digital finance and banking experience for consumers and companies. Previously, Farhan was a Partner at Rokk3r Labs, a global venture builder. He was also an executive at PeerIndex, a social media analytics platform that was acquired by Brandwatch in 2014, Yahoo! and various other start-ups and later-stage private companies.

He is an entrepreneur-in-residence at King’s College London and a part-time lecturer in managing digital organizations at London Business School. Farhan holds an undergraduate degree from McMaster University in Canada and an MBA from London Business School.

Mattias Ljungman
Founder & Managing Partner, Moonfire Ventures

In 2006 he co-founded Atomico with Niklas Zennstrom, the founder of Skype.

Mattias started out as a research analyst in the 1990s and began his venture capital career in London in 2000 working with young technological companies on their strategy and eventually with their exits and IPOs for CLS Holdings. At Atomico, his key investments include Supercell ($5 billion exit to Softbank), Klarna (valued at $10.65 billion), Viagogo (valued over $2.25 billion) and Climate Corp ($1.1 billion exit to Monsanto).

He was an active board member and advisor to these companies when they were in the early stages of their development. At Atomico, he worked hard to inspire founders to think even bigger and he aims to do the same at Moonfire.

Dr Pooja Sikka
Partner, Octopus Ventures

Pooja is a practising GP by background and has founded multiple healthcare businesses.

Pooja has over 16 years’ experience working across the healthcare sector with public and private bodies and NHS providers, leading multiple teams through high-profile national and international projects and ventures. Pooja’s diverse clinical, managerial and entrepreneurial background has put her at the forefront of the changing healthcare landscape in Europe and emerging economies. She is known in the NHS for her health technology expertise and most recently set up a national programme for the NAPC (National Association of Primary Care), to help NHS providers select and roll out health technology products and services.

She serves as a council member and clinical advisor to NAPC and, as a founding member of the EY Ventures team, ran the health and social care investment portfolio. Pooja has launched an ‘NHS-style’ primary and cancer care in India, for which she remains a clinical and health technology advisor, as well as a UK-based health business delivering clinical services which exited in 2016.

Jack Tinley
Director – Corporate Banking, MUFG

Jack is a Client Coverage team leader, working with Japanese corporates across EMEA.

Before joining MUFG in 2018, Jack worked at Lloyds Banking Group, covering the Energy and Utilities sector as well as undertaking leadership and product roles, including secondments in Asia and the Netherlands. He is an experienced international corporate banker, building relationships and delivering a broad range of financing solutions for a diverse range of clients.

Jack undertook a secondment as the Deputy Country Manager of Lloyds Banking Group India & Philippines to develop general management experience in an international setting. He also worked in the Netherlands in Credit and Trade Finance.

Adeo Ressi
CEO at VC Lab, Executive Chairman at Founder Institute
Adeo is working on innovation for good. The Founder Institute has a goal for 80% of the portfolio companies to work on 'For Progress' businesses that address one or more of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. 

He has pioneered innovations in the protection of founder rights, the raising of early-stage capital and the scaling of new businesses. Adeo previously served on the Board of the X Prize Foundation to pursue his interests in space exploration and techniques to motivate human achievement. He studied architecture and spent time living on a commune to explore his interests in designing better ways to live. Adeo is passionate about inspiring people to achieve greatness.

Jowita Michalska
CEO, Digital University

Her life mission is to arm the Polish market with the necessary digital competencies.



She has founded Digital University, an organisation that works with leading global universities such as MIT, Harvard Business School, University of Vienna, Stanford University and NYU Stern. Its mission is to educate people in the field of new technologies and create leaders of tomorrow. Jowita organizes and runs educational programs, training sessions and events for the management teams.

She is also a Polish ambassador of Singularity University - an educational think-tank from Silicon Valley which prepares global leaders and organizations for the future. For years, she has been watching technological and social trends and talking about how our world and business will change in the next 10-20 years.

Bjorn Öste

Paul Dugsin
Co-Founder, Raiven Capital

Paul has raised $1 billion for technology and R&D initiatives across disciplines and sectors, including smart manufacturing, healthcare and high performance computing.

Paul Dugsin is Founding Partner of Raiven Capital, a $100 million global technology venture capital fund with partners in innovation hubs including Toronto, Singapore  and Silicon Valley. Paul and his Raiven team apply their deep knowledge and operational mastery to grow companies move them from old industrial into new information economies. He co-founded Magnus Asset Management, a 10-year old fund with several investments and exits. Dr. Heidi Forbes Öste

Sugeet spent 24 years at Bank of America including 10 years as SVP/Director - Technology Finance Group.

Sugeet is in Investment Risk at SoftBank Investment Advisors, with previous stints as Managing Director - Technology Banking at Mizuho Securities USA, and Managing Director - Corporate Banking at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey. She was also SVP/Director - Technology Finance Group for 10 years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Sugeet is also an Activator at SheEO™ - a global initiative designed to radically transform the way we finance, support, and celebrate female entrepreneurs who are creating new mindsets, new models and new solutions that are benefiting humanity. Its goal is to have 1 million women globally supporting 10,000 female entrepreneurs with a $1 billion perpetual loan fund.

Trey Reasonover

Trey is a well-travelled angel investor and start-up advisor.

Michel Salgado 
Retired footballer & celebrity investor
Entrepreneur and investor, healthy living and charity campaigner, Real Madrid & Spain legend.

Michel appeared in 254 matches for Real Madrid from 1999 to 2009, helping the club win two UEFA Champions League titles and four La Liga titles. He was a member of the Spanish national team from 1998 to 2006.

Since retirement, Michel has been a part of a series of successful ventures and built a career for himself as an entrepreneur.

He runs the Michel Salgado academy in Dubai, the largest in the Middle East, and is the owner of UAE football club Fursan Hispania amongst a series of other businesses.

Daniel King
Venture Partner & Investor, Seedcamp

Daniel has spent the last two decades in executive and senior management roles within technology corporates as well as start-ups. 

Daniel is an operator, advisor and investor with a focus on eCommerce technology, Fintech, Big Data, BI, Analytics, SaaS platforms, and Marketplaces for both B2B and B2C. He has extensive knowledge in investing, fundraising, and scaling high-growth companies including international expansion and have hands-on experience in building, managing, developing and retaining teams. He's been involved with Seedcamp since 2010 as was in the first cohort of mentors.

He joined Profitero, one of their portfolio companies, initially as an advisor, then as a non-executive director and later as President and COO and the company enjoyed great success raising more than $34m and expanding into the US, China, Japan and growing to over 300 employees. He has held a number of high profile roles and he was also part of the senior management team at Hitwise which was sold to Experian for $250m in 2007. Today he advises many start-ups and sit on the board of several companies in the public and private sector including Fintech company Plus500 Plc which floated on the London Stock Exchange in 2013 and today has a market cap of over $2B.

Rodrigo Mallo

Yusuf Özdalga

Yusuf is a London-based partner at QED Investors with a focus on U.K. and European fintech and proptech companies. 

Yusuf joined QED in 2017, and his career has spanned roles as an operator, advisor, entrepreneur and investor. His current portfolio of investments include Wagestream, Fidel API, Capitalise, Rest Less, Wayflyer, Weavr, GetGround and Payhawk. Yusuf started his career at Capital One in 1997 where he helped develop many of the innovative lending solutions in the underserved credit segment. Subsequently he joined the Financial Institutions M&A Group at J. P. Morgan in 2003, advising banks and specialty finance companies on mergers, public listings and capital raising.

He started his professional investing career in 2006, with a focus on specialty finance and consumer credit companies in Europe, including early fintech investments such as some of the first online loan originators in Sweden. Prior to joining QED, Yusuf was an investment director with a growth private equity fund, helping fast-growing companies and entrepreneurs build lasting franchises by leveraging the power of data analytics.

Chris Haley

Chris is a reformed management consultant and Entrepreneur who has a real passion for the potential of the European deep-tech scene.

Kevin Chong

Kevin Chong is Co-Head at Outward VC which invests at late-seed to series B in entrepreneurs seeking to build category defining fintech companies.

Kevin is also a non-executive director of the Greater London Investment Fund, a fund of funds backed by the Mayor of London and the European Regional Development Fund, and a non-executive director of Moneyline, a not-for-profit community development financial institution. Previously Kevin was Co-Head for Emerging Companies at Investec, advising and supporting the UK venture capital ecosystem and before that he was Managing Partner at Beacon Capital, a London-based venture capital firm.

Frank M. Salzgeber

Head of Innovation and Ventures Office, European Space Agency

Frank has built the largest Space Entrepreneurship network in the world! 

Frank’s Innovation and Ventures Office team has initiated over 370 industry transfers and supported over 1200 start-ups. He promotes the Directorate of Telecommunication and Integrated Application of ESA, which has supported over 1000 business cases and, in the next 3 years, ESA Space Solutions will invest €220m in Seed.


Previously, he was the Head of Technology Transfer and Business Incubation and Head of the Commercial Development in the European Astronaut Department of the Directorate of Human Spaceflight Microgravity and Exploration at the European Space Agency.

Frank believes that ‘a society that stops exploring stops progressing’, and is genuinely passionate about the importance of human space flight and the European Space Programme. Also, he is a member of several advisory boards of venture capital funds, international co-operations and start-up companies, including the European Business Angel Network Space.
